Support & Training - What's New

Global Illumination
The way that light floods into a room
through a window or door can make
a real difference to the colours and
textures used in that area. The latest
version of Planit Fusion uses a new
feature to generate natural light that
behaves in exactly the same way as real
light would, giving photo realistic images.
Google SketchUp™
Planit Fusion’s link to Google
SketchUp™ allows you to easily
search for a range of 3D objects and
import them from the Google 3D
Warehouse™ into your room design
to further improve the reality of your
representation.
Improved Tiling
Planit Fusion’s improved tiling allows
you to select single or multiple
walls for the application of a surface
covering of your choice. In fact, you
can now tile any surface or part of a
surface and use your own tile designs
via a new tile import facility.
The application can also provide you
with final material quantities and costs
by calculating the total coverage of a
given area using the cost of individual
tiles as a base. This is particularly useful
when combined with the new ability
to choose where you would like to
start tiling and therefore make best
use of production materials.

Multi-screen Functionality
Multiple windows can now be opened
simultaneously, giving the user the
opportunity to freeze one or more
windows, whilst making amendments to a
design or developing a new design in
the next. Alternatively, if two display
devices are being used, the customer
facing display can present a design at a
given point in time whilst the designer
makes further modifications to the
room using the other display device.
